The Socialist Corporation of Venezuelan Cacao. It was created under decree No. 7,471, which was published in Official Gazette No. 39,441, on June 8, 2010, with authorization from the Head of State Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías. This Corporation currently operates as a parent company in the form of a public limited company. The cocoa that was part of our economy until the end of the 21st century, will once again bear fruit for the Venezuelan State, this time under the socialist figure, which will have the possession and representation of the shares of the State Companies and Mixed Companies that operate in this sector. This Socialist Corporation attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands and as a strategic project, its main objective is to administer, develop, coordinate and supervise the activities of the State in the cocoa sector, including the production, processing and distribution of cocoa, chocolate and its derivative products, aimed at improving the quality of life of producers, and in turn, meeting the needs of the people, contributing to achieve the agri-food security of the nation and the export of strategic cocoa. To be a company dedicated to the production, storage, promotion, processing, transformation, diversification, innovation, commercialization and distribution, including the import and export of "Cacao Fino de Aroma" in all its varieties and qualities, as well as by-products (liquor, cocoa butter and powder) and finished products (chocolate, food, beverages, personal hygiene products, cosmetics and sweets or substitutes). Likewise, administer, coordinate, supervise, manage, control and operate processing plants and transformers of by-products and finished products. To be recognized nationally and internationally as one of the best companies producing, storing, processing, transforming, trading and distributing the "Venezuelan Fine Aroma Cacao", of by-products and finished products, under the strictest quality standards. Consolidate the agricultural production chain of cocoa at national and international level, through the articulation of public and private organizations, based on the increase in the production of «Fine Aroma Cocoa» in quantity and quality, through the Agricultural Social Production Units (UPSA), under the administration of the company and the grassroots social organizations of the Popular Power (Councils of Campesinos and Campesinas, Communal Councils, Communes, Associations and Cooperatives), to satisfy national demand and generate surpluses for export
